Bailey Slipper Shop has always been a family business, which not only means that it's a deeply passionate owner core but also that, as a small business, we treasure individuality and the growth of local communities. Our staff members come from a variety of different dance backgrounds, from tap to theatre & beyond! We always enjoy meeting & learning about you, our customers, so we welcome you to peruse a little about us in return!

Hello!! My name is Brittany and I am one of the owners here at Bailey Slipper Shop. I had a love for all things dance from a young age! I danced locally for most of my youth and into my teenage years. I trained with a local studio in ballet, tap, jazz and more! During this time I would shop at BSS for all of my dance attire! My aunt Beverly began working for Bailey Slipper long before I did, though I often came to work with her and enjoyed helping like any young kid would. I started as a sales associate here in 2009 after graduating high school and eventually became the general manager for the company. When it was time for the owners to retire, I knew BSS needed to stay a family-operated business and that's where Bev & I stepped in! It has been an incredible experience working with the WNY dance and theatre community in this capacity. When not at the shop, I'm often at home attempting to unwind with my family and two amazing dogs.

I have 50 years of retail experience ranging from being a sales clerk, bookkeeping and a manager. I have 24 years of dance experience in tap, jazz, hip hop & ballet. I started working for Dance n' Stuff in 1993 and then became an associate once BSS took over. in January 2018, I became the proud co-owner of Bailey's along with my great niece! I enjoy working alongside my employees assisting our customers with their needs, in everything from pointe shoes to leotards. When I'm not working, I am devoting time to my love of music. I have played in 2 community bands for over 50 years and am also in 3 Drum & Bugle Corps! I certainly keep busy!

Hello! I am the General Manager here at Bailey Slipper. I began dancing at a young age with Lancaster Dance Center and studied many different genres of dance while there for 13 years. If I had to choose, I'd say I favored tap and lyrical! I have managerial experience from years working at Orville's (which I was still at when I began here part-time) and it has carried over, allowing me to grow as the GM here! I think my favorite thing is fitting first time pointe shoes, as I love helping the person learn about their new endeavor while making sure they are safe. If there is anything I can help with, be sure to let me know!

Greetings! I've worked at BSS for over 8 years now, and I wouldn't change it for the world! Coming from a musical theatre & acting background, this job played right into my passion for the Arts. Even though I'd taken ballet, ballroom & tap in the past, this company has expanded my knowledge ten-fold and I absolutely love seeing a customer's eyes light up when they have the perfect fit. It comes in at a close second to that feeling you get when the audience applauds! I've done over 40 productions both locally and in NYC, and that final bow never gets old after a job well done. Let me help you look wonderful for your curtain call!

I have been with Bailey Slipper Shop for over 5 years. My love for dance began 40 years ago. I trained as a dancer for 18 years and was a Dance Performance Major at UB. I was a substitute dance teacher for many years with a focus in Ballet. My dance career ended when my daughter was born, but then her training began. I love being able to stay relevant in an art that means so much to me. I love children & dance so much, and I look forward to helping you at the store with whatever you may need! Xoxo Sally

I have been working at Bailey Slipper Shop for over two and a half years now & it has been incredible working with so many talented fitters and dancers! I have been a dancer at Center Stage for over 17 years and a competitive dancer for about 11 years, until I graduated from high school. I am currently enrolled at UB for business & marketing, hoping to market and advertise for a major dance company one day!

I participated in Liturgical dance at the Church of the Good Shepard growing up in Henrietta during the 1980's. I also acted in Henrietta community theatre and continued my love for theatre throughout high school by joining stage crew at Rush - Henrietta junior and senior HS. Since then, I have worked in retail management for Rochester businesses, both big & small! I am very pleased to be serving the Rochester Dance and Theatre community!

I have been at Bailey Slipper Shop since August 2018. I recently received my BFA in musical theatre from Messiah College, where I studied ballet, tap, jazz, modern & choreography. When I am not working or performing, I can be found costuming local theatre productions in the Rochester area!

Hi! I'm Kathy! I have 2 children - a son and a daughter (who also works for BSS) and I am a former dance mom! By day, I am a full time Pre-K teacher, preparing and readying 4 & 5 year olds for Kindergarten. I have worked at Baileys for years on evening and weekends. I love seeing a child's face light up with a smile and joy when they get their first pair of dance shoes!
